Two U.S. Navy Sailors Goes Missing Off Coast of Somalia

Two sailors of the U.S. Navy went missing off the coast of Somalia, according to a press release from the U.S. Naval Institute.
The U.S. Central Command said they have started search and rescue operations to locate the missing sailors.
The missing sailors were deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet, which has been patrolling the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea.

The CENTCOM said in a statement that they will deploy all of their resources to find the missing sailors.
Whether the incident has anything to do with the volatile situation in the Red Sea has not been confirmed by the U.S. military.
The military said they will not release further information regarding the two missing sailors for security reasons and “out of respect for the families affected”.
The exact nature of the disappearance of sailors is not yet known to the media.
