According to the documents uncovered by the BBC, Sergey Mironov has adopted a 2-year-old Ukrainian girl after marrying a woman who took her in 2022.

Mr Mironov wrote on X that the allegations were “fake”. Mr Mironov’s statement is in line with the position of the Russian government, who rejects deporting Ukrainian children.
