Tech billionaire Elon Musk has claimed that Neuralink has successfully implanted a wireless brain chip in a human.
Musk claimed that the chip had shown promising results after the patient’s brain could respond, and now he was recovering well.
Neuralink is Elon Musk’s startup that aims to tackle complex neurological problems by connecting human brains to computers.
First Successful Human Test
Elon Musk boasted on X that the first human received an implant from the brain-chip startup on Sunday.
Experts argue that the benefits of such surgeries can only be assessed in the long run, but the milestone is worth appreciating.
According to the BBC, Mr. Musk’s claims have not been verified by independent third parties as the company has not released what sort of procedures were practiced during the test.
Neuralink has not responded to questions asked by media organizations.
